It can’t be exploited anymore for extended combos; reduced speed of ki restored when stepping, reduced speed of card loading while stepping, so on and so fourth. Some bonus damage now for actually stringing cards; the step can still be used to cancel cards and such for dynamic. Step combos can still be preformed too, they’re simply no point to anymore.

What changed in sidestep?
Okay, I haven't played in a while and now I'm starting up again. I heard that sidestep changed but it seems the same. Can anyone tell me what exactly changed and how I can use it better?
