PvE
Carmainerose is a very good candidate for the Abyss-earned Lifesteal equipment. It comes relatively early in the game and complements her natural lifesteal on her S1 quite well. Her low health is offset by the amount of healing she gets off the set, and the stats on the gear are quite strong for this point in the game.
If you continue using her as you climb into higher-level content like Golem and Raids, however, Lifesteal will no longer be enough to keep her alive. Instead, it's a good idea to switch to a more damage-focused setup at this point.
- For gear sets, she wants either an Attack or Destruction primary gear set and a Critical subset. Rage is also a possible option if you're running her alongside a debuff-focused unit like Aramintha, Surin, or Dingo.
- Her substats are simple: she needs a lot of Spd, Atk%, Crit Chance and Crit Damage, roughly in that order.
Most Mage Artifacts aren't that great for Carmainerose, especially since all her damage is single-target. By far the best option to further pump up her damage is Kal'adra, but it relies on running Carmainerose alongside another hero who can cause debuffs more consistently than she can. This is a great strategy and a very good way to use Carmainerose.
However, if you don't have or don't want to use a debuffer in your team, you may want to give Carmainerose an Artifact that helps her meager survivability. In fact, she's one of the few Mages who can really make good use out of Chatty, whose Atk-based barrier can save her from a killing blow and give her a chance to heal herself with her S1. Alternately, if you really miss the additional HP recovery from the Lifesteal set, consider the Grail of Blood, another Artifact that fits in well with her high Atk.

Team

This is a sample team for taking on Earth-element PvE content, such as Golem or certain levels of the Abyss. This team focuses on enabling Carmainerose to do the thing she does best: damage. Lots and lots of damage.
- Cecilia is a good tank for protecting Carmainerose, since she has AOE Provoke, forcing enemies to focus on her instead.
- Dingo causes both Bleed and Burn, giving Carmainerose something to proc Kal'adra and a Rage set on. He also has an AOE cleanse, which Mascot Hazel lacks.
- Mascot Hazel is a great healer for an all-Fire-elemental team. She has single-target and AOE healing, as well as an AOE Atk buff. She also causes Unhealable with her S1, which is perfect for Golem.

This is a basic PvP team intended for lower-tier Arena usage. The strategy is:
- Righteous Thief Roozid moves first and CR-push the team with his S3.
- From there, Rose follows up with her own S3, granting more CR-push and an AOE Atk buff.
- Furious pops his S2 Crit Chance buff and uses his extra turn to nuke one unlucky enemy target with his S3. If they survive, they'll have Defense Break.
- Carmainerose then nukes with her S2. If Furious' target didn't die, she can finish them off. If her target doesn't die, they'll still have their Spd and CR decreased.
At this point, one to two of the most dangerous targets on the field should be dead. Roozid can debuff the next target with his S1 or S2, and Rose can CR-push Carmainerose again with her S2. Carmainerose nukes the next primary target with her S3, wiping off any of their buffs, and Furious can follow up to finish them. At this point, the battle should be set.
This strategy is advantageous against teams that counter cleave strategies (i.e., Purrgis or Seaside Bellona) since the primary damage-dealers are single-target. If it outspeeds cleave teams, it works well against them too, as cleave teams are rarely built to survive heavy nuking. However, faster cleave or CR-push strategies can easily pick this team apart, making it hard to use at higher Arena levels.

Analysis
Overview
Arguably the sanest of the five Banshee Sisters, Carmainerose can be an extremely strong hero for new players to build. Easy to build and easy to use, she focuses on buffing herself into an unstoppable juggernaut, tearing into her enemies, and absorbing their lifeforce to restore her own. Though she eventually falls off very late in Epic Seven, when players usually have access to teamwide versions of her self-only buffs, her value for pulling players through the rest of the game up to that point deserves recognition.
Strengths
High Damage Output
Carmainerose has high base Atk, high damage multipliers on her skills, and the ability to buff her own Atk. All of these factors combined give her some terrifyingly high damage output.
Attacks While Buffing
Because Carmainerose's buffs are attached to her damage-dealing S2 and S3, she can buff herself (and debuff her enemy) without sacrificing her high damage output. This is also one of the reasons Lifesteal sets are popular on Carmainerose -- because she never stops dealing damage, she can always be healing herself.
Buff Stripper
Dispelling buffs is a crucial part of Epic Seven, and Carmainerose is a great candidate for the job. When Skill Enhanced, her S3 has a mere 3-turn cooldown, allowing her to rip buffs off her foes quite regularly.
3★ Hero
As a 3★ hero, Carmainerose is not hard to pull, and she uses Stigma instead of Molagora to enhance her skills. This makes her a safe, comparatively affordable investment in the early game, when resources are scarce.
Weaknesses
Slow and Squishy
While Carmainerose can buff her own Spd and Def, buffs only do so much to fix her abysmal HP and turn speed. In particular, her buffs only last 2 turns, while her buffing skills each have a 3-turn cooldown. When her buffs are down (or if they get dispelled), Carmainerose's slow turn speed and low HP make her an easy target.
Needs Time to Set Up
Carmainerose does a lot to fix her own weaknesses by applying buffs to herself. However, it takes her time to get those buffs up and running, and without her buffs, she's not nearly as impressive. Especially against Ice-element heroes or bosses, Carmainerose has little chance of surviving long enough to buff herself appropriately.
Selfish (And Common) Buffs
This is the thing that hurts Carmainerose's longterm viability: her buffs are all selfish. This might not be so bad if her buffs were rare and very powerful, like Immortality or Invincibility. However, stat-increasing buffs are very common tools in high-end play -- in particular, most late-game teams run an AOE Atk buff. If Carmainerose is already getting her own buffs from heroes like Yuna, Vivian, Silk, or Doris, all she's really bringing to the table is damage, while other heroes could be bringing damage and also more teamwide buffs.
