What is Focus?
Combat in Wizards Unite can be somewhat confusing sometimes, with the different resources, Spells, Charms, and Hexes to manage.
One of the key aspects of combat is Focus, an important stat that serves as the energy resource for all Charms and Hexes.
While Focus and its applications differ somewhat from one Profession to the next, it is extremely useful no matter which Profession you choose. This guide will briefly cover what Focus is, how you can acquire and improve it, and what benefits it can provide you.
Casting Hexes and Charms
Focus is used in Fortresses to cast Hexes and Charms before going into combat with an Enemy. The Hexes and Charms available to you display their Focus cost and the ones that you don’t have enough Focus to cast will be greyed out.
To cast a Charm or Hex, drag the Charm/Hex icon to the Player or Enemy you wish to affect. Charms can only be cast on Players and Hexes can only be cast on Enemies.
Gaining Focus
Defeating an Enemy will give you some Focus. Click on an Enemy icon to see how much Focus will be gained from a given Enemy in order optimize spending Focus in relation to the difficulty of an Enemy, your strength and weakness to them, and your current Focus charge.
+2 Focus for the Team means that each Teammate will receive 2 Focus. Teammates do not share Focus in a single pool.
Invigoration Potions and Strong Invigoration Potions can also be used to replenish Focus between Combat.
Profession Focus Upgrades
Each Profession has skill tree nodes that will increase your Initial Focus or Max Focus Capacity.
Currently, Aurors are the only Profession with a Charm to transfer Focus from themselves to another Teammate.
