  • She revitalizes the Team by giving it a different identity than the one it previously had. In fact, she opens the door to make Android a Strike-focused Team, a style that generally works better for the majority of her Teammates.

  • She’s relentless Offensively. Arts Draw Speed, Great Buffs that can be stacked thanks to her low Sub-count, Ki Restore and Card Draw on entry, she just has it all. She’s the carry Androids needed for a long time.

  • Offensively she’s quite impressive, since she can magnify her Damage through both Buffs and Debuffs.

  • SP Perfect Cell YEL is an offensive powerhouse with a drawable Ultimate Move that has the chance to inflict Faint and tons of Damage Buffs.
  • His Enemy Card sealing Unique Ability, Cover: Rescue, and Enemy Cover Debuff also make him hard to take out, or defend against.

  • Having previously been a part of the Blast-focused Androids as an odd Striker helped by Strike-per-Blast Cards swapping mechanics, he obviously fits better in this Strike-focused variant of the Team.

  • His Strike Damage is still massive. Also, once he activates his Main he can really put most opponents in trouble since he has a ridiculously high chance to inflict Faint in that state.

  • He’s here mainly thanks to his Damage. While SP Fusion Android #13 RED isn’t a powerhouse right off the bat, he has quite a few ways to inflict chaos. In fact, his Buffs build up depending on how long he stays on the field, and his Ultimate inflicts catastrophic Damage even through covers. Lastly, he gets great Buffs as the Last Man Standing

  • His Utility is quite nice, since he adds +2 to all enemies’ sub count if an opponent switches out while he is on the field, he has a throw-away type of Cover, and his Extra Move is a charge type with Blast Armor, that puts the enemy on a combo.

Discussion

Androids have been flat out the best Team in the game at some point of the 4th quarter of last year, thanks to their high synergy and color diversity, but they’ve steadily fallen out of the Meta due to not having a clear staple that could make them resist against the powercreep. Also, some of the Team’s best Fighter -- SP Fused #13 RED, SP Perfect Cell YEL-- have always been Strikers rather than Blasters, thus they weren’t really perfect fits for the Team and it really became apparent once other Teams catched up to it.

Flash forward to some months later, Androids are now a Strike Based Team with a nightmarish monster as their staple. It only took one update to make the Team top tier again, mostly because, as said previously, its basis already had incredible Z-Ability synergy and Fighters that were only waiting for a more fitting setup.

The Team just works really well, thanks to having answers against basically any matchup, even the troublesome Regeneration, thanks to SP Majin #21 PUR that introduced new standards of top tier Offensive power -- To explain it simply, she’s basically the only Fighter that can consistently break through Regeneration’s Defense --. 

Most of the time, the 21-21 duo will be the way to go -- Although Regeneration is arguable, since SP Android #21 BLU just gets countered hard there --, with the third Fighter being someone that fits the matchup well. You have to face SP SSJ Youth Gohan YEL? Then go with SP Fused #13 RED. You’re facing Teams that rely on fantastic Purple Fighters? Go with SP Perfect Cell YEL. You hate not being able to seriously harm really Defensive Blue Fighters SP Super Baby 2 BLU or SP SSB Goku BLU? SP Android #14 is there for you.

Overall, this Team is really good and complete again.

Alternate Core Members

While she doesn't Buff Androids until 14*, she synergizes well with the Female Warriors on this Team, which translates in a Team with really high Damage output.

He’s still a really good Blast-focused Fighter, but because of that he’s a poor fit for this Team right now. However, if for some reason you feel the need to play Blast-Androids at this point in time, he’s a good choice.

He’s ok, mostly because of his Defense and his straight up annoying Ultimate Move, but in a Strike Meta such as the one we’re in right now, his Blast Attack barrier is not as effective, and his Damage is basically null in a Strike-focused Team

He’s still Effective Defensively, but his situational Offense is inexcusable at this point. He’s a decent fit for Blast-Androids, but as explained previously you really don’t want that in your life right now.
