  • He's the best Fighter on this Team by quite a margin, since he's both an unstoppable Offensive force and a great Defensive option.
  • While he doesn't Buff his Teammates through Ability Bonus, there isn't a single matchup where he's not in the main trio, so it's not really a big problem.

  • He brings a perfect Z-Ability to the Team, we don’t see such a good Double Z for Saiyan that often, so he’ll probably remain relevant in this context for a while regardless of how his toolkit ages.
  • He specializes at taking SP SSB Vegito BLU down, but he’s very solid all around as he can take hits well and strike back thanks to the additional Buff he gets when hit.

  • Offensively, he does well thanks to his stackable Buffs and his customizable Special Move. He's really hard to counter thanks to his neutral typing.
  • Despite having no consistent Damage Reduction Effect, he’s really durable and he’s able to Heal through his Main Ability, so overall he’s really hard to put down.

  • SP Saiyan Saga Goku BLU is one of the best Support Fighters in the game thanks to the permanent Offensive Buffs he can stack up for the whole Team and his Healing Ultimate Move. 

  • His Offensive potential shouldn’t be underestimated, he can even be a decent Last Man Standing thanks to his cumulative Buffs.

  • He's basically this Team's only good Fighter at countering very durable Yellow Fighters such as SP SSJ Rage Trunks RED thanks to how he can dominate a Game with his Strike Cards.
  • He may not Buff HE Shallot LGT on the Core, however he still provides a top tier Z-Ability for every other Fighter on this Team.

Discussion

Saiyan is still very similar to the Goku Team, with the only difference being HE Shallot LGT. The Dragon Ball Original Hero would prefer to have Blast based Teammates, but he can live with a Strike Attack Deck as well, which also complements SP Kid Goku YEL better.

SP SSJ4 Goku PUR is kept out of the Team as he only Buffs Son Family and GT. Some people could argue SP SSB Goku RED is affected by the same problem , but he’s generally more required as he counters by color some of the most problematic Fighters in the Game.

The problem with this Team is the total lack of Blast Defense Z-Abilities, but HE Shallot LGT and SP Kid Goku YEL hold their own quite well Defensively. Additionally, SP SSB Goku RED’s Strike Cover is quite nifty even against Vegito Blue, because people usually don’t expect Red Fighters to switch in against him and just spam his Strike Cards relentlessly.

Offensively, this Team does a great job. HE Shallot LGT is a matchup problem for any Team in the game since he does high neutral Damage to any Fighter, but everything still rotates around SP Kid Goku YEL as he’s able to do amazing Damage as well as Support his Teammates.

Saiyan is quite great at the moment as it’s also getting better Z-Abilities wise, something it’s hardly ever been good at historically.

He's a very good Blast based Fighter that fits well alongside HE Shallot LIG, but sadly the card he holds are bad for the remaining Fighters on the Team. He's still a great Offensive Fighter with some abilities that make him quite durable as well.

He's a really good Fighter with very few weaknesses, and his Ultimate Move ignores Damage reduction which is convenient. His Z-Ability isn't that good for this Team, but he can definitely be used.

 Overall, his Offensive potential is still one of the highest in the game as a Last Man Standing, but he starts off really badly nowadays. Generally, SP Saiyan Saga Goku BLU being on the Team leads to a much faster paced Offense, which is greater than the utility SP Angry Goku BLU offers. Still, he's a nice alternative.

His Transformed State is still quite oppressive, but just like SP Angry Goku BLU he's quite weak initially so it's better to use Fighters that are more constant than him. In any case, he still fits well since he's Strike Focused.
