The mascot of the game itself is at long last not only usable, but a force to be reckoned with thanks to his newly acquired Super Saiyan 3 Transformation.

This Super Saiyan 3 Transformation lasts for a sparse 45 Timer Counts, which is initially off-putting, but this is still a reasonably long amount of time. It's imperative to use him wisely, as he reverts back to his worthless base form when it's over. 

The Transformation itself is something to behold - boasting significant scaling Offensive Buffs, Defensive Utility thanks to his Sustained Damage Cut Buff on cover, and even Crisis Utility if his Transformation is used after an Ally falls in battle.

Thanks to Shallot's Offensive and Defensive capabilities post-transformation, Z-Ability, Equip Options, and Utility, he has risen to a tier above most of the game's Sparking roster. 


Super Saiyan 3

His stats are bolstered significantly when he turns into a Super Saiyan 3 like most Transforming Fighters, which are now on par with some of the best Sparking Rarity Fighters.

Shallot gets a frankly absurd +30% Buff to Damage Inflicted for 30 timer counts and a +20% Buff to Damage Inflicted for 45 timer counts when he uses this Transformation, which immediately makes him a devastating Offensive force. He can augment this with +10% Strike Damage Buffs whenever he uses an Arts Card.

Shallot's Damage truly becomes mind-melting once he begins to take Damage, as the ancient Saiyan gains +20% to his Inflicted Damage whenever he's hit, and if he's hit such that his HP drops below 50%, he gains a +70% Damage Buff. 

If the majority of these Buffs can be activated, Shallot's Damage becomes by far the highest in the game. 


One of the more forgotten aspects of Shallot was his Health Z-Ability. He was always overshadowed by EX Raditz BLU in this role, but he's now actually usable in battle, whereas EX Raditz BLU is not. Of course, both of them can be used on the same Team to craft a supremely bulky Saiyan composition.

Generally, thought the Saiyan Team will lose a bit of Health overall, Shallot has replaced Raditz on Saiyan benches, becoming the go-to Health Buffer for the Tag.

Revolt Pile

Shallot can learn other Fighters Special Moves, and teaching him EX Bardock YEL's Revolt Pile will make him nuke anyone due to how Bardock's Special Damage is calculated. While Revolt Pile is the single most Damaging Special Move for technical reasons, Shallot can brandish a ton of incredible Special Move Arts Cards.

One fantastic option is SP Kid Buu RED's Planet Burst, which negates enemy Special Arts that usually clash with it and deals Damage to the entire enemy Team. 

Another notable Special Move is SP Legendary Super Saiyan Broly GRN's Eraser Cannon. It has a Massive Damage Multiplier and increases Shallot's Damage Inflicted upon activation. Plus, it looks very cool, which makes it worth consideration. 

Defensive Savior

HE Shallot LGT's power extends beyond Offense - he gains can use his new form to Defend his Allies with a +40% Sustained Damage Cut Buff when changing Cover.

Thanks to his uniquely neutral Color and high post-transformation Stats, Shallot is arguably the strongest Saiyan Defensive Pivot.

Main Power Source

Shallot's Main Ability in his Super Saiyan 3 Form is frankly incredible, and it pushes his bulk and Offense to the next level. It Heals him, grants him a massive Strike Damage Buff, increases his Arts Card Draw Speed by 1 level, and reduces the cost of his Strike cards by 5. 

This ability pairs perfectly with his scaling Buffs that activate as he Combos his foe, and with these Buffs active, HE Shallot LGT will have no trouble eliminating Fighters in a single Combo.


Timed Transformation

Again, while 45 timer counts is plenty of time to do some serious Damage, when his Super Saiyan 3 runs out he's back to being quite a poor Fighter.

The looming specter of the Transformation timer incentivizes Shallot to transform immediately upon entering the battlefield for the first time, once he can safely be brought in during an Ally's Combo a few timer counts after his transformation becomes initially available. 

Low Ki Recovery

His base Ki Restore is quite low. While this isn't too much of an issue most of the time, it can make a noticeable difference at crucial moments in a Match.

Shallot has an easy time Comboing with his Main Ability's Card Draw Speed and Cost Reduction Buffs active, but when those Buffs aren't active, he can struggle to keep his chain alive. 

Team Synergy


Shallot's power as a Super Saiyan 3 has greatly expanded his Team options. While he used to exist as a budget Saiyan Bench filler at best, he is now a premier Offensive Fighter on this Tag.

Saiyan mainstays with both Offensive and Defensive Utility like SP SSJ4 Goku PUR, SP SSJ3 Goku GRN, and SP Bardock RED are all fantastic teammates for Shallot that can protect him in his pre-transformed state and hold their own by themselves. 

Saiyan Supporters like SP Baby Vegeta GRN and SP Saiyan Saga Goku BLU are especially noteworthy Teammates for shallot, as they benefit from Shallot's Cover Change and can augment his already absurd Damage output.

While he's not a fantastic combat Fighter, SP Raditz GRN's amazing Z-Ability significantly increases Shallot's Offenses.
