Overview

SP Angry Goku BLU is a one-man wrecking crew; a juggernaut capable of excelling in every role once he ascends to legend. 

The enraged Saiyan begins the battle as a somewhat underwhelming Defensive Pivot, but once 15 timer counts pass, SP Angry Goku BLU channels his rage and transcends what Saiyans are supposed to be capable of. 

Ushering in his Transformation to Super Saiyan, SP Angry Goku BLU instantly recovers Ki and permanently Buffs his Damage, leading to stellar combo extension opportunities.

This also grants SP Angry Goku BLU a neutral-dominating Beam Counter Special Move that trumps all Arts Cards, can nullify enemy Endurance, and can be drawn with his Main Ability. 

Even outside of combat, this legendary warrior excels, providing Saiyans and Super Saiyans a Buff to Blast and Strike Attack at 3 stars. That bench utility guarantees that SP Angry Goku BLU will always be relevant to the other members of his Tags. 

This Legendary Fighter is an absolute menace - able to refute anyone’s claim of being the strongest in the universe. 

Strengths

A Light in the Darkness

SP Angry Goku BLU’s rage reaches its crescendo when both of his comrades fall, instantly recovering 50% of his HP and permanently boosting his Blast Damage by an amazing +50%  for the remainder of the match.

This Ability of his makes SP Angry Goku BLU a Fighter with few peers when it comes to handling Crisis situations. Post-Transformation, he is able to stack an absurd amount of Damage Buffs his scaling Inflicted Damage Buffs that accrue the longer he spends in combat - topping off at +70%.

With his Special Move Arts Card, Goku can effectively Defend without a Vanish Meter, making him one of the best Fighters in the game in comeback scenarios. 

Combat Loop Master

SP Angry Goku BLU is able to take advantage of his absurd amount of Buffs by leveraging them to dominate the neutral space. The Angry Kamehameha is savage trump card that can be brandished whenever an opponent is foolish enough to approach.

The threat level of this Special Move Arts Card can be leveraged as an effective bluff when players using SP Angry Goku BLU have empty Vanish Gauges - a strategy everyone facing this Fighter will need to prepare for. 

Goku's Giant Swing Special Arts Card can be used strategically to interrupt enemy rotations and can potentially give SP Angry Goku BLU his Vanishing Gauge back with its flat 40% Gauge Restoration. These two tools give SP Angry Goku BLU arguably the best neutral game power in the Meta.

Weaknesses

A Moment of Weakness

Because 15 Timer Counts must pass before SP Angry Goku BLU becomes a true menace, he struggles in the early stages of matches. This means that the unstoppable power of the Angry Kamehameha is not always available, limiting his options in the neutral before Transformation. 

Susceptible to Buff Removal

While this is not a significant flaw, all of SP Angry Goku BLU's damage buffs are visible and vulnerable to enemy Fighters that can clear them.

SP Angry Goku relies on his permanent +30% Damage boost upon Transformation for solid Damage output before his other Buffs activate, and if it's removed, his offense takes a serious blow. 

In a Crisis scenario, the removal of his buffs could be the final nail in his coffin, so it is best to use the First Awakened Saiyan sparingly around enemy Fighters with this capability. 

Team Synergy

Saiyan

The ever-expanding Saiyan Tag welcomes SP Angry Goku BLU with open arms. SP Angry Goku BLU fits onto the team with ease, becoming its prime Blue Fighter.

A prime Teammate for Goku is SP Bardock YEL, who can shore up the Team's Defenses, provide a Special Move Arts Card for Goku to run wild with via his Main Ability, and assist from beyond the grave with Buffs he grants his Allies on Death.

Alternatively, SP Vegito YEL can be ran alongside Goku, as Goku's ability to protect him from enemy Red Fighters can clear the way for Vegito to dominate in the late-game. HE Shallot LGT impresses on this Tag with his absurdly high Damage and Defensive Utility.

Doubling down on Angry Goku's crisis-oriented identity with SP Bardock RED is an excellent way to structure this killer Team.

Son Family

SP Angry Goku BLU is the most powerful Goku Fighter in the game at the time of his release, guaranteeing his spot on Son Family builds that synergize with Goku variants. Goku offers his Super Saiyan kin Strike and Blast attack at 3 Stars, benefitting key Fighters like SP Super Saiyan Goten PUR and SP Super Saiyan Goku YEL

While Goku is clearly designed to be a Blast-oriented Fighter, he's a quintessential part of Strike-focused versions of the Team as well. Goku both Buffs and Supports the strongest Strike-oriented Son Family Fighters, SP Super Saiyan 4 Goku PUR and SP Super Saiyan Youth Gohan YEL

Super Saiyan

SP Angry Goku BLU fulfills a number of roles that the Super Saiyan Tag has been clamoring for, mainly that of a powerful Crisis Fighter that can fight independently of SP Super Saiyan Bardock BLU’s support.

Everyone’s favorite golden-haired trend-setter forms a terrifying BBP Color Counter Core with two comrades that jacked his hair style, the aforementioned SP Super Saiyan Bardock BLU and SP Super Vegito PUR

Frieza Saga (Z)

This Team is very unconventional and some would argue completely awful, but the fact SP Angry Goku BLU is part of this Tag propels it into meager viability. Thanks to the two of them sharing this Tag, Goku and his nemesis SP Full Power Frieza YEL can both be used on this Team, granting it insane Bulk and Crisis utility.

The third Fighter in this strange milieu can be EX Krillin PUR, who provides Support and Special Move Arts Cards for Goku or EX Nail PUR, who can hold his own in Combat and can give some worthwhile Support himself.

SP Ginyu Goku RED can also be effective on this Team; his unique Ability to Steal Dragon Balls and draw a plethora of Special Arts Cards makes him worth running alongside the best of the best.

Yellow Color Counter

SP Angry Goku BLU is an absolute delight as the single Blue cog in a Yellow Color Counter machine, which is the most popular and effective "Mono" Color Team Variant by far.

His massive collection of Tags allows him to function well with many powerful Yellow Options for the Team, most notably SP Full Power Frieza YEL and EX Legendary Super Saiyan Broly YEL. 

Even SP Super Saiyan Youth Gohan YEL can be easily fielded alongside him, as the two have synergistic toolkits that shore up the Defenses of this Team that has historically lacked bulk.
