Overview

SP SSJ Vegeta YEL is a capable ranged fighter who can punish Strike Arts focused teams.

He also challenges the more frequent use of Team-Healing with his highly effective Main Ability.

While he lacks the classic Vegeta mustache from the GT series, this Vegeta variant is memorable in his own right, and is still the only Yellow Fighter for a GT Team.

Strengths

Powerful Enemy Debuffs

SP SSJ Vegeta YEL punishes opponents for using Strike Arts Cards by increasing his Blast Damage, reducing their Ki Recovery Speed, and increasing their Strike Arts Card costs.

Additionally, he also increases the Sustained Damage his target receives whenever he uses a Blast Arts Card. Since the majority of Damage related effects are Enemy Debuffs that affect the entire Enemy Team or are dependant on Enemy actions, frequent switching will not reduce SP SSJ Vegeta YEL’s impressive Damage output.

SP SSJ Vegeta YEL's Main Ability reduces the amount his opponent Heals from Healing effects, which is especially effective against Teams with prominent Healing Support Fighters.

Weaknesses

Outdated

SP SSJ Vegeta YEL’s stats were already average when he was released, but have since been powercrept. His Debuffs can help bridge this gap a little, but he has a hard time keeping up with newly released Fighters.

Situational Main Ability

While reducing 80% of Enemy Healing for 15 timer counts is highly effective against Enemies like SP Perfect Cell YEL, SP Buuhan GRN, or EX Nail PUR, who heal over time- it’s a bit more difficult to fully utilize against Team-Healers who instantly restore massive amounts of Health.

In these instances, using his Main Ability is more of a deterrent to be used before the Enemy Player is most likely to activate a Team-Healing Main Ability--i.e. when the whole Team or their star Fighter is low on Health.

Team Synergy

Super Saiyan

Several top Super Saiyan Fighters have extremely powerful Blast Damage output, so SP SSJ Vegeta YEL would be right at home in this Build.

Notable Super Saiyan Fighters with high Blast Damage include; SP Angry Goku BLU, SP Gogeta BLU, SP Super Saiyan Kid Goten PUR, and even SP SSJ Vegeta YEL's partner, SP Super Saiyan Kid Goku GRN

Saiyan

SP SSJ Vegeta YEL easily fits here with many of the same advantages and disadvantages discussed in his overview. While there are other Yellow Saiyan options such as SP Super Saiyan Otherworld Goku YEL and EX Legendary Super Saiyan Broly YEL, this Vegeta variant’s Blast focus and powerful Debuffs still give him a viable position as a unique Saiyan Fighter.

GT Team

With the addition of GT Fighters, he is also capable of fitting into a full GT Team. This Team does unfortunately rely on a Color Counter Core, but SP Vegeta YEL is the crux of this Core, allowing SP Super Saiyan Kid Goku GRN and SP Super #17 GRN to operate with some cover for their weakness.

While this character is on the battlefield, the following effects occur every time the enemy uses a Strike Arts Card:

+15% to Blast damage inflicted for 10 timer counts.
Inflicts enemy with Attribute Downgrade "-70% to Ki Recovery" for 2 timer counts.
