Field Effects: (Always occur)
Battle Start 1 Vicinity of Cherishment: Inflict Damage Taken Up by 2,000 for all [Hominidae] trait Servants. Apply Damage Cut by 1,000 to all [Demonic Beast] trait Servants. All effects include the backline [Permanent, Unremovable].
Battle Start 1 Massacre-Existence Meteorite: Apply a buff to Beast IV: Decrease Max HP by 3% (5 turns) when normal attacking. Increase own Max HP by 50,000 (5 turns) when summoned enemies are defeated. When one of the Master's Servants are defeated, increase all enemies' ATK by 50% (3 turns) and Recover their HP by 50,000 [Unremovable].
Battle Start 2 Jade Emperor Embodiment: Investiture of the God: Increase all allies' Damage against Beast IV by 50%. Increase Mental Debuff Resist by 50% for all allies. Apply Guts to all allies (1 time, 60% HP Revival). When Guts triggers, increase NP Gauge by 20%, decrease enemies' Critical Rate by 15%, and apply a delayed buff that reapplies the same Guts effect after 5 turns pass (1 time, 60% HP Revival) [All Unremovable].
Field Effect: On the turn Mash Kyrielight uses the Black Barrel Skill (once only):
Black Barrel Turn Habetrot - "Time to strike! Be prepared": Habetrot will appear and activate her Noble Phantasm (NP5), dealing damage and removing buffs from all enemies. Inflict Damage Resist Down by 50% (5 turns) and decrease ATK by 50% (5 turns) on all enemies [Unremovable].
Field Effect: At start of every 2 turns - Activate one of three helpful effects rotating in order:
Effect 1 Liquor of the Gods: Inflict Skill Seal (1 turn) on all enemies. Decrease their NP Bar by 1. Increase all allies' ATK by 20% (3 turns).
Effect 2 Deluge: Remove the last 3 buffs from all enemies. Apply [Near Water] battlefield effect (3 turn). Remove all debuffs from all allied Servants. Recover 500 HP the allied Servant with the lowest HP.
Effect 3 Great Serpent God: 80% chance to inflict Stun (1 turn), Curse (4,000 Damage per turn, 8 turns), Evil Curse (100% Curse Damage Up, 8 turns) and Nullify Buff (3 times, 8 turns) on all enemies.

NP Thunderous Heavenly Light - The Calamitous Star Crashes Down in Waves of Flame: Deal damage to all enemies that Ignores DEF. Inflict NP Seal on all enemies (1 turn).

Overview

  • A final confrontation with Beast IV awaits! All of Beast IV's retainers make an appearance in this battle, with a total of 4 break bars and different accompanying mobs for each break bar.
  • This battle can be solo'd by the NPC Supports (see video links).
  • Each of the NPC Supports offers powerful effects (in Boss Statistics), with Jiang Ziya (Taigong Wang) being more support-oriented, while Ibuki and Dobrynya can act as damage dealers and are capable of effectively soloing the fight.
  • As before, all [Hominidae] trait Servants are weak to the boss, and [Demonic Beast] Servants have Class Advantage. Casters also take 0.5x damage from the boss.
  • The party's Buff Success Rate is decreased by 40% permanently as a part of the boss's passive, so be wary of the chance that buffs might miss.
  • The party's NP battery effects are also halved! This is different from NP Gain, it affects the fixed NP charge skills instead.
  • The boss is permanently cursed to take 20k damage per turn, and has a permanent 30% DEF debuff.
  • Additional enemies will accompany the boss, most of them can be safely ignored and the boss can be focused, with the exception of the last wave.
    • Wave 1 mobs - Lose 30 Stars per turn, decreased Arts/Quick/NP Gain.
    • Wave 2 mobs - Decreased Star Drop Rate, Crit Damage; all enemies gain 2-time Invincibility each turn and have NP Damage Resist +60%.
    • Wave 3 mobs - Decrease ATK, amplify Curse Damage, and drain 1k HP each turn. The Berserker's normal attacks can increase Skill Cooldowns by 1 turn.
    • Wave 4 mobs -
      • Kill the Ruler first! The Ruler gives a buff to all other enemies on the field that inflicts 100% Instant Death if they are attacked. The buff is removed when the Ruler is defeated.
      • Defeating the Tank second removes the Damage Resist +80% buff on Beast IV, which can help if the party can't reach required damage thresholds.
  • The boss itself has several break bar effects, some of which can be troublesome if the party is unprepared:
    • 1st Break: Increase Skill Cooldowns by 3 turns for entire party, and the boss gains +50% DEF.
    • 2nd Break: Debuffs the party's DEF by 20% and gains permanent 30% chance to Ignore Invincible.
    • 3rd Break: Halves all party's Max HP for e turns, and gains 2 extra NP charge per turn. The boss's NP hits AoE, Ignores DEF, and NP Seals for a turn.

Team Recommendations

  • The NPC Supports are more than capable of soloing this encounter (see video links), and are worth bringing if having trouble with the encounter.
  • As with the prior encounter with the Beast, Damage Dealers with [Demonic Beast] trait have Class Advantage for this encounter; they are a solid choice if available in the roster. On the other hand, avoid bringing Human attribute Servants unless the party is prepared for them to perish quickly.
    • Caster Class has defensive Class Advantage as well. The one Servant currently available that has both advantageous traits is Tamamo-no-Mae. As a result, Tamamo survives surprisingly well for this encounter, and is a great choice to bring along if available.
  • Single Target Damage Dealers can be useful to bring if the DPS cannot reach high enough damage thresholds to defeat the boss otherwise, particularly for the 4th break bar due to the threatening abilities of the additional mobs.
  • Damage / NP Support is useful in helping the damage dealer quickly bring down the Boss's multiple break bars. Depending on the damage dealer's card color of choice, Skadi, Merlin, Tamamo, or Waver are all good options.
  • Last Stand Servants such as Heracles (Bond CE), Cu Chulainn (Alter), or Cu Chulainn can also help clean up the last hits of the boss if they are available.
