Valentine's 2023 - Challenge Guide: True Love (Orion & Wild Boars)

Requirements: The Main Quest line for the Event and Singularity: Solomon must be completed before this quest can be attempted.

• The challenge quest for Valentine's 2023 is a face off against break bar Archer-Class Orion (203k, 206k, 236k HP) accompanied by a total of 9 Berserker-Class demon boars (79-117k HP). All enemies are in a single wave, and will fill in from the backline as they are defeated.
• All Demon Boars will give Orion a small 5% Crit Damage / Crit Rate buff when defeated, up to a maximum of +45% each when all 9 are defeated. These buffs are permanent and unremovable.
• High Damage Resist vs Females: Only for the 1st HP bar, Orion will have an 80% Damage Resist against females, making it highly difficult to break his first HP bar if using a female damage dealer. It is possible to use a male for just the first bar and switch to a female damage dealer for the later bars. During this time, Orion is also Charm immune.
• Prioritizes attacking Male targets during the 1st HP bar. This applies to Orion, but not to the demon boars.
• 2nd & 3rd HP Bars have special skills:
  • Normal attacks hit AoE during 2nd & 3rd HP bars.
  • Evade vs Males: So long as there is at least one Male on the field, Orion will use a 5-time, 3-turn Evade skill that works only vs. Males, and reapply it if necessary.
  • Charm vs Females: If there is at least one Female on the field, Orion has a chance of attempting to use an AoE Charm skill that has a 30% success rate. If the Charm sticks, targets also get a 30% ATK debuff.
  • He also has an AoE HP Recovery, Star Drop Rate, and NP Gain debuff that lasts 1 turn.
  • Special NP: Removes Buffs from Males, Clears Debuffs (which is actually helpful) from Females, and deals AoE damage, with bonus damage vs Males.
• 1st Break: Loses Damage Resist/Charm Immunity, clears all debuffs from himself and any boar allies, and charges +3 NP Bar for all allies except himself.
• 2nd Break: Gains Invincibility vs Divine trait for 5-times, 5 turns. Will also gain a small 5% ATK buff whenever normal attacking. Both effects are unremovable.
• Upon Orion's Defeat: All remaining demon boars will gain Max HP +100,000, Ignore Invincible, and Damage Plus 3,000.

• Male AoE damage dealers, especially if they are Lancers, are a good choice for dealing with Orion's high Damage Resist during his first HP bar. Masters can choose to continue using a male damage dealer for the 2nd and 3rd HP bars as well, although watch out for Orion's anti-Male Evade skill.
• Trait bonus damage dealers also work well. In all three forms, Orion counts as a Male & Greek Mythology Male. The 2nd/3rd forms do not count as a Servant and do not have alignments, however, but do gain the Demonic, Wild Beast, and Super Giant traits. Yu Mei-ren is a welfare option with Class advantage and an anti-Male niche, and other options are also available as listed in the Quick Servant Suggestions.
• Ignore Invincible/Sure Hit Support, especially if using a damage dealer with either Male or Divine traits, will help circumvent some of the boss's Evade (special skill) and Invincibility (2nd break effect) gimmicks.
• Damage Support is helpful as always, which improves the primary damage dealer's ability to quickly clear boars off the field. The usual suspects of Merlin, Skadi, Castoria, and Tamamo are all excellent depending on the damage dealer's Card color of choice.
• Defensive Support, such as party sources of Invincibility / Anti-enforcement defense will help the party survive the hits from the many Berserker enemies and Orion's own progressively more powerful critical hits. Many of the premiere damage support options such as Merlin, Skadi, and Castoria come with powerful defensive options.
