Overview

  • Note: This boss really isn't very difficult and mainly becomes more difficult if fielding Caster teams. The advice here is mainly relevant for Masters not fielding a strong Rider.

  • Bringing a dose of her poison, the cute yet deadly Caster of Okeanos appears as a piglet-spamming adversary in our journey through Salem.

  • Masters should make sure to take advantage of the first two enemy waves to build up NP gauge for the team, as well as conserving buffs until facing off against Caster of Okeanos.

  • Unlike many boss fights from Shimousa, this fight does not have a complicated set of gimmicks. Thus, simply stacking up on offensive buffs and high damage (ST) NPs will do the trick.

  • With her high tendency to use her Rapid Words of Divine skill, Caster of Okeanos can charge her own NP gauge very quickly as . Whether or not she uses it during her turn is random, thus she can catch Masters off-guard with her high damage Noble Phantasm.

  • Warning: Rapid Words of Divine grants 2 charges instead of the usual 1.

  • When close to breaking her first Break Bar, Masters should take note of her current NP Gauge as she will immediately cast Rapid Words of Divine upon break.

  • The Rapid Words of Divine from her Broken HP Bar will not take up an action - she will likely charge her NP Bar by 4 that turn by using her first normal action to charge as well.

  • Without Defensive buffs, Casters of Okeanos is likely to hit 25k-30k with her NP.

  • Her Metabole Piglet debuff from her Noble Phantasm can slow down DPS even if it does not kill. It can be cleansed by debuff clear skills, or prevented through debuff immunity.

  • Caster of Okeanos has no way to bypass Evade or Invincibility so both statuses are good defensive options to survive her Noble Phantasms.

Team Recommendations

  • Masters bringing their DPS Casters as opposed to a class advantaged Servant for the bonus bond points (with a Support Caster for the Lunchtime CE), should bring their best Single Target Casters such as Sanzang, Illya, Caster of Midrash, Nero Claudius (Caster) or Medea. Stock them up with plenty of offensive buffs.

  • For an easy clear, Single Target Riders make for the best DPS options, followed by Alter Egos or Berserkers if Masters lack strong Rider options. Sakata Kintoki (Rider), Ozymandias and Quetzalcoatl are all fantastic single-target Rider options to burst down Caster of Okeanos’ two HP bars in quick succession with team support.

  • Masters who favor a more aggressive approach should bring plenty of offensive Support Servants to quickly deplete Caster of Okeanos’s HP bar, especially supports with NP Battery skills such as Merlin, Zhuge Liang, William Shakespeare or Helena Blavatsky.

  • The Mystic Code Chaldea Combat Uniform is naturally the best for a buff-stacking strategy, and the stun helps to prevent any early NP shenanigans. Similarly, Anniversary Blond is a great alternative for Masters wanting to use Buster Critical teams.

  • For Masters favoring a more stable approach, debuff removal is decent for this fight, as it can remove Caster of Okeanos’s stacking team-wide poison debuff, as well as the Metabole Piglets status from her Noble Phantasm. Servants such as Jeanne d’Arc, Saint Martha (Rider), Medea (Lily) or Florence Nightingale can help prevent unfortunate bacon accidents.

  • Servants with Taunts such as Chevalier d’Eon, Georgios, Leonidas or Mash Kyrielight can serve as a lightning rod for Caster of Okeanos’s Noble Phantasm to protect the main DPS when the need arises.

  • Similarly, Servants that grant teamwide Evade or Invincibility like David or Tristan can help the team survive through her Noble Phantasm, but require good timing on the Master’s part.
