Overview

  • This encounter has a single Berserker with three HP bars (210k, 303k, 350k HP), with a highly curse-centric skill kit.
  • Three NPC Supports will be mandatory for this battle, although they can be placed in either the front or backline. Note that the Master's own Mash Kyrielight cannot be used, since the NPC Support version is used instead.
    • NPC Support Mash in particular gains several helpful buffs, including massively increased ATK and NP Gain, starting 100% NP Gauge, and increased DEF. Whenever she uses her NP, all allies on the field will gain 3 turns of 40% Curse Resist.
    • NPC Support Da Vinci Rider also provides helpful HP regen effects whenever she enters the field, along with a small ATK buff for herself.
  • The boss's final break bar becomes more difficult the more Curse stacks are active on the field when the HP break happens. For this reason, it's helpful to try to clear Curse effects / break the boss as quickly as possible before Curses accumulate.
  • The boss also has multiple ways of inflicting Curse on the party:
    • When attacking the boss, 2 Stacks of Curse are inflicted on the attacker for every attack; this is an unremovable passive effect.
    • The boss has a skill that inflicts 3 stacks of curse on a single target, with a delayed effect of absorbing Curse from all other allies the next turn.
    • The boss's NP inflicts 2 stacks of curse on the entire party (6 stacks total).
  • Curses can also be cleansed through debuff removal effects.
  • On first break, the boss permanently gains an extra NP charge each turn, and also starts dealing more damage to Cursed targets.
  • On second break, the boss will gain effects based on the number of total curse stacks active on the field (after removing all Curse from itself):
    • 30+ Stacks: 3 Guts stacks (100k HP Revival), inflicts 3x Curse and Curse Damage +100% on all party members.
    • 15-29+ Stacks: 2 Guts stacks (100k HP Revival), inflicts 2x Curse and Curse Damage +70% on all party members.
    • 0-14+ Stacks: 1 Guts stack (100k HP Revival), inflicts 1x Curse and Curse Damage +50% on all party members.

Team Recommendations

  • With proper skill rotation and card usage, it is entirely possible to clear this encounter using only the 3 Mandatory NPCs provided (see video links).
  • As with most Berserker boss fights, choice of damage dealer is flexible, although Foreigners benefit from having defensive advantage as well.
  • Debuff Clear Support is particularly helpful for this fight, to help clear up Curse stacks before the final HP bar. Curse damage can otherwise quickly stack up over time.
  • Debuff Immune on either the damage dealer or from a support also helps a great deal, by proactively preventing Curse application. Applying debuff immunity on the primary attacker will prevent the majority of curse application (which comes from the boss's "apply 2 curse stacks when attacked" effect).
  • Damage / NP Gauge Support is helpful as always, with Altria Caster being an excellent choice for this encounter due to her NP's debuff clear effect and anti-enforcement defense.
