WOOOOOOOOO!!! The Danger Doper, SP Basil BLU has made a grand entrance into the Dragon Ball Legends metagame. His gimmick is centered around his Extra Arts -’ Danger Doping’ where he can infinitely stack his Damage and gain other useful effects. His Z Ability is also very useful for the Universe Survival Saga and Rival Universe tags.
Strengths
Hi-Speed Battle
SP Basil BLU loves a Hi-speed battle, as he gets a number of buffs when he vanishes an attack. He gains 40 ki, 30% Damage Inflicted, and inflicts a debuff on the enemy. This is a very good ability as vanishing is a core mechanic of the game and Basil gets rewarded when he evades an attack and this can lead to amazing amounts of Damage being dealt towards the enemy.
Danger Doping
As mentioned in the Overview, SP Basil BLU’s gimmick is centered around his Extra Arts -’ Danger Doping’ where he gets a 30% Damage inflicted increase that is stackable and uncancelable as well as reduced cost on his strike and blast arts for a whopping 40 TIMER Counts. He gets an Extra Arts when he pops his main Ability, so he’s guaranteed to get these buffs.
This is a very powerful Extra Arts as it gives him extra Damage and reduced cost to prolong his combos. His Extra Arts also has the benefit of stopping time to see what the opposition will do.
Weaknesses
Atrocious Defense
SP Basil BLU’s defense is awful. He has no Damage cut and his strike defense is ranked 198th while his blast defense is even lower, ranked at 208th amongst all Fighters in the game. You definitely don’t want him to get hit in a combo as he will explode.
Team Synergy
Rival Universe
Sadly, SP Basil doesn’t have a place on the main Fighter for the Rival Universe tag as SP Toppo BLU eclipses him in almost every way. You can still use him and find success but in higher ranked PvP, he becomes a liability due to his atrocious defense.
