Overview
EX Videl PUR has a lot to offer as a Defensive Fighter and it’s not just her towering stats--she has a resilient toolkit that pairs incredibly well with current the Female Warriors.
As a balancing measure, she does suffer from an underwhelming Z-Ability which restricts her to the core and puts her in competition with far better alternatives like SP Kakunsa PUR and especially SP Android #21: Evil PUR.
Strengths
Bulky Brawler
EX Videl PUR grants herself a 25% Sustained Damage Cut Buff for 15 counts every time she is switched into the battlefield, which gives her a Defensive advantage in most mastch-ups, sans those against Teams that primarily feature Yellow Fighters.
Aside from that, the daughter of the champ has the fantastic ability to recover 15% of her Health (3 times), as well as cure all Attribute Downgrades and Abnormal Conditions, when she switches to standby. This effect in tandem with her Damage Reduction can allow her to function as her Team's primary Defensive pivot.
Tit for Tat
The Resolve Ability grants a 10% Damage Buff to her Team's Inflicted Damage for every Strike and Blast Arts Card used by the Enemy against her, which roughly translates to 30-40% increased Damage after each Enemy Combo.
This pairs great with her Dual Strike deck and the fact that Female Warriors are predominantly Strike-centric. While she's not necessarily excellent Support, she can function in this role well.
Weaknesses
Restricted Z-Ability
Her Strike Defense Z-Ability at 6 stars doesn't transition to a double Buff and instead serves Purple Fighters, which isn't nearly as useful. Buffing a single Defensive stat is fairly lackluster, and makes justifying her inclusion on Female Warrior benches difficult.
Low Damage
Until Videl takes some hits, her Damage is utterly laughable. She relies on her Main Ability and her stacking Damage Buffs to make her attacks count, and neither are especially reliable.
Team Synergy
Female Warrior
EX Videl PUR is not the Female Warrior Tag's first choice when it comes to Purple Fighters. EX Chi-Chi PUR's existence means that she's not even the Tag's first choice of Purple Extreme Fighter. That being said, she's a decent Defensive option on this Tag, which is valuable seeing as it lacks dedicated Defensive Fighters.
Videl covers the Green weakness of SP Android #21 BLU, and can act as a secondary Supporter on her Teams. The strong and stylish SP Android #18 RED's Support allows Videl to actually hurt things, and her incremental Healing is a great boon in prolonged bouts.
