SP Turles PUR has been the recipient of recent SP Fighter Balance Changes and as a result, got a massive Buff to his stats and toolkit.
Both his Assault and Anti-Son Family Unique Abilities were Buffed, but the real star of the show is his Extra Move – The Fruit of the Tree of Might.
Fruit of the Tree of Might – on top of its decreased cost – now Restores his Health by 10% and increases his Damage inflicted by 20% for 20 timer counts. Additionally, 1 of 4 random effects will occur: Draw an Extra Card next, +20% to Blast Damage inflicted for 20 timer counts, +20% to own Ki Recovery for 20 timer counts, or +50% to own Vanishing Gauge Recovery for 10 timer counts.
SP Turles PUR is now a little more viable in terms of Damage and survivability.
Fruit of the Free of Might
His Extra Move is excellent all around. It gives him a seemingly endless amount of both Offensive and Defensive Buffs, not only by giving him Healing but also Damage and Utility to control the Match from beginning to end.
SP Turles PUR reduces Damage by 30% from the Match start for 35 timer counts. This makes him incredibly durable despite his average Defenses for quite a while.
Gohan, Pan, Goten and especially Goku variants are quite prevalent in Dragon Ball Legends, and SP Turles PUR gets an additional 40% Blast Damage against them.
SP Turles PUR does have a few ways to increase his durability but the longer the Match goes, the more susceptible he becomes unless he’s able to draw Extra Moves for the 10% Health Restoration.
While every option from his Extra Move is useful, the unpredictability of it's results means that both Players and Enemies will have to react and adjust their tactics depending on what the Move gives.
Despite his Z-Ability, he can still be fit into a general Saiyan Team because he’s a strong Fighter in general and one or two non-Synergizing Z-Abilities usually doesn’t hurt a Team too badly.
SP Turles PUR’s exclusive Equip just accentuates what he does best, which is Blast Damage and being a thorn in the side of any Son-Family Fighter. The extra Health coupled with the Heal on his Extra Move makes this Fighter very difficult to deal with.
Health and Blast Attack are the two most important stats SP Turles PUR can get, and this not only comes with that but a nice little bonus against Hybrid Saiyans, who are slowly but surely creeping back into the Meta.
The Joy of Destruction
Draw a Special Arts Card next. -15 to own Blast Arts cost for 20 timer counts. Requirements: 5 timer counts must elapse.
Anti-Son Family: Blast Atk UP
+40% to Blast damage inflicted against "Tag: Son Family" (cannot be cancelled).
Deals major Impact damage. Inflicts enemy with Attribute Downgrade "+15% to Blast Damage Received" for 15 timer counts on hit.
Fruit of the Tree of Might
Restores own health by 10% and +20% to damage inflicted for 20 timer counts. 1-4 of the following effects will also occur randomly. Draw a Special Arts Card next. +20% to Blast damage inflicted for 20 timer counts. +20% to own Ki Recovery for 20 timer counts. +50% to own Vanishing Gauge Recovery for 10 timer counts.
It would have been nice for the third balance update to let him Support Sagas Warriors instead of slightly increasing the potency of his Buff.
His Extra Move--which can be drawn through his Main Ability--is incredibly useful now, but he himself as been power crept.
SP Turles PUR hasn’t been seen for what seems like an eternity now, and for good reason. His Z-Ability is tied to Purple Teams which is very much less than ideal, he has no home in Sagas Warriors Teams due to multiple better options, and he’s just been power crept yet again.
