Overview

This big, bold, and beautiful Fighter might seem like a meme at first, but that couldn't be further from the truth. EX Shugesh YEL is the Team Bardock Tag's premier Yellow, and has a few mean tricks up his nonexistent sleeves. 

Shugesh's kit is centered around Strike Damage, Special Move Damage, and interesting Death Buffs. His Special Move's forced switching effect makes it an ideal way to cycle through enemy Fighters. Shugesh's low bulk gets his Team his Death Buffs quite quickly, and he can almost guarantee his own death with his strange Main Ability.

The muscle of Bardock's Squad might not be the most flexible Fighter, physically or mechanically, but he can turn the tides for his comrades in a pinch.

Strengths

Thick Power

The key aspect of Shugesh's Toolkit is his Special Arts Card, which possesses Blast Armor and forces switching. This Card can be augmented the first three times Shugesh Takes Damage, and if he does take Damage three times, its Damage is permanently Buffed by +75% and its Cost is permanently lowered by 15. 

With this Ability, as well as his innate Buffs to Strike Damage and his Main Ability's Buff to Damage Inflicted, EX Shugesh YEL has the potential to shred huge portions of enemy Health while forcibly relegating them to the bench. 

Big Supporter

Shugesh offers Support to Team Bardock comrades in two specific ways. His Extra Arts Card allows him to Buff all his Team Bardock Allies' Strike Attack by 15% for 30 Timer Counts, which is more than enough time to see some value. 

When Shugesh falls in combat, he Buffs their Offense again, this time with a permanent +20% Buff to Damage Inflicted. He also Destroys 2 of the enemy's Dragon Balls, a fairly unique effect that has the potential to be game-deciding. 

Weaknesses

Not Well Rounded

EX Shugesh YEL suffers from a kit that has no real direction. His Gigantic Catapult is very strong, and can absolutely impact games, but the rest of his combat offerings are confusing, or at worst, at odds with themselves. 

Shugesh's Main Ability gives him that excellent +40% Damage Inflicted Buff, but it also prevents him from switching for 10 Timer Counts, all but ensuring that he'll get hit while it's active. While this Main Ability also reduces the Damage he sustains from the next hit he takes by 70%, it's not consistent enough to rely on.

Shugesh's ability to destroy Dragon Balls on death is contextually powerful, but if he's sacrificed to take a Rising Rush, it won't have any effect. 

Yellow Blues

Shugesh is far from the best Yellow Saiyan in the game right now; even on the Team Bardock Team, Shugesh is by far the weakest link. SP Bardock YEL and SP SSGSS Goku YEL have much better showings compared to the round boy, which is a shame, but isn't surprising. 

Team Synergy

This Team of conquerors welcomes Shugesh as its resident Yellow bruiser. Shugesh and EX Borgos GRN are strong Offensive and Defensive pivots that each Buff the Team when they fall in combat, which in turn perfectly prepares SP Bardock RED to slaughter entire Teams by himself.

EX Fasha RED's Support and Healing let Shugesh stay in the fight longer, but that's a bit counter-intuitive when he's at his best when he gets to take advantage of his Death Buffs.

Overflowing Confidence

Inflicts allies with "No Switching" for 10 timer counts.
+40% to damage inflicted for 30 timer counts.
Reduces next damage sustained by 70%.
This applies until enemy combo is finished.

Requirements: 5 timer counts must elapse.

Unique Ability

Savage Warrior Race

+30% to Strike damage inflicted for 20 timer counts when this character enters the battlefield.
Additional -5 to own Strike Arts cost for 20 timer counts when a "Tag: Team Bardock" other than this character is a battle member.

The following effects occur when this character is defeated:

Reduces enemy's Dragon Balls by 2.
+20% to damage inflicted by allied "Tag: Team Bardock".

Crazed Invader

Applies the following effects to self after enemy attack is over:

+25% to Special Move damage inflicted (activates three times).
-5 to Special Move Arts cost (activates three times).
