Overview

Bardock fights to avenge his fallen comrades, and this Saiyan's power is more than enough to accomplish that. SP Bardock RED is a deadly Offensive Pivot at the start of the match thanks to his fantastic Strike Damage, and he becomes a force of nature once the blood of his Allies saturates his bandanna. 

Either after a significant amount of time passes or one of Bardock's Allies falls, his Transformation becomes available, at which point he becomes the most powerful Crisis Fighter and Strike attacker in the Meta.

His kit gives him unparalleled neutral coverage, absurdly punishing Combos, Defensive tools, and Crisis Buffs so potent that any player using SP Bardock RED as a Last Man Standing is arguably favored against an opponent with three living Fighters. 

Strengths

The Power of Rage

SP Bardock RED has the potential to reach bafflingly high levels of Inflicted Damage. When the fight begins, he is granted a +50% Buff to Strike Damage for 50 Timer Counts, which is more than enough time to hold him over before he can activate his Transformation. 

This Transformation, by the way, confers onto Bardock a permanent, invisible +50 Buff to Damage Inflicted, keeping his Offense consistently high even if his visible Buffs are removed. 


His new Main Abilities after Transforming also give him an instant +45% Buff to Strike Damage for 15 Timer Counts, which is refreshed whenever he enters combat in the future.

This is not all the Damage these Abilities give to him; he also receives permanent +25% Buffs to Damage Inflicted and Special Move Damage per Defeated Battle member when he strides onto the battlefield.

Altogether, in Last Man Standing conditions, Bardock is capable of reaching above +200% Damage Inflicted before Support is even factored in. 

Defensive Flexibility

SP Bardock RED's Offenses may be hysterically powerful, but his Defensive Utility is equally impressive. Whether he is Transformed or not, Bardock counters Blast Arts when changing Cover and can follow up the knockback this counter causes with his Special Move Arts. 

Bardock's Extra Arts Card, Transformation Main Ability, and even his Strike Arts restore his Health by 15%, 30%, and 3% per Card used respectively, making Bardock a supremely difficult Fighter to keep down.

Even if he is backed into a corner, his Main Ability post-Transformation negates his Element Disadvantage to Blue Fighters for 30 Timer Counts, giving him enough time to mount an upset against Fighters that would, under normal circumstances, pose a serious threat. 

To further add to the ridiculousness, this Ability also fully restores his Vanishing Gauge. This suite of Defensive effects is quite possibly the strongest combination of Buffs conferred by a single Main Ability in the entire game.

Locksmith

The Saiyan Revenger packs the Ability to both take advantage of and counter the devastating Switch prevention mechanic.

Whenever he is prevented from switching, he activates a +50% Sustained Damage Cut Effect, which allows him to safely engage Fighters who have this typically devastating utility. 

In a rather hypocritical move on Bardock's part, he too can utilize a switch-locking effect via his Main Ability post-Transformation, which not only prevents all enemies from switching, it also inflicts him with the status.

The fact that it effects him as well means that his +50% Sustained Damage Cut is activated, accelerating his bulk to heights on par with the Meta's strongest Defensive Fighters for the 10 Timer Counts it's active. 

Weaknesses

Revenge Takes Time to Stew

SP Bardock RED is undoubtedly the strongest Fighter in the game after Transforming, but to reach that state, either 50 Timer Counts must pass or an Ally must die.

This condition keeps him on something of a leash. It ensures that his early-game contributions will be limited to his high Strike Damage and his Blast Countering-Cover Change, as the broken aspects of his kit will be sealed off.

Team Synergy

Saiyan

SP Bardock RED is easily the Saiyan Tag's best Red Fighter and effortlessly fits into the best and brightest Saiyan Tag Teams. His synergy with the initially overlooked SP Baby Vegeta GRN is not to be underestimated, as the Tuffle can significantly increase Bardock's power as an Offensive Pivot with his Support.

SP Saiyan Saga Goku BLU and SP Angry Goku BLU each offer unique utility to Tag Teams that use Bardock, but the former is generally preferred because of his fantastic Support Buffs and Healing.

Bardock's alternate universe counterpart, SP Bardock YEL, shines on his Teams with excellent Defensive utility and Death Buffs that only serve to make Red Bardock more terrifying. Another Yellow option is SP Vegito YEL, whose mid-game strength can generate enough advantage for Bardock to utterly dominate in the late-game.

Team Bardock

This newly introduced Tag Team seems tailor-made to allow SP Bardock RED to shine. His obvious partners on this Tag are his conquistador buddies, EX Shugesh YEL and EX Borgos GRN.

Shugesh increases his whole Team's Damage when he falls and can disrupt his opponent by destroying 2 Dragon Balls. Borgos, by comparison, also bestows Buffs to his allies when he dies, but what sets him apart are his Healing and Defensive capabilities.

EX Tora PUR and EX Fasha RED are viable on this Tag, but their old age is starting to show.

Veteran Saiyan Warrior

+50% to Strike damage inflicted from battle start for 50 timer counts. Reduces damage received by 50% while inflicted with "No Switching" (cannot be cancelled). Knocks back enemy to long range if a cover change is performed against their Blast Arts attack (activates during assists). [Comboable Arts] Special Move Arts
