Overview

The first major antagonist in Dragon Ball Z, SP LL Vegeta RED, is here to dominate the PvP meta while going berserk with his Great Ape Legendary Finish. SP LL Vegeta RED is one of the best Anti-Goku/Son Family Fighters in the entire game. He has reduced Damage against them while also having increased Damage against Goku and increased Ultimate Arts Card Damage against Son Family.

His Extra Arts is an incredible AOE Combo starter and his Special Move is a powerful melee attack that shortens his own sub-count which works perfectly with his Endurance.

Strengths

Anti-Goku/Son Family

As mentioned in the Overview, SP LL Vegeta RED is a great Anti-Son Family Fighter. He reduces Damage against Son Family Fighters by 15% which adds to the 35% Damage reduction that he normally has.

He has 25% extra Damage against Goku Fighters and there are a lot of Goku Fighters in the meta currently.

His extra 20% Ultimate Damage against Son Family Fighters can prove to be useful as well.

Anti-Revival

SP LL Vegeta RED has continued the trend of recent Legends Limited Fighters having anti-Revival and Vegeta is the first Fighter to reduce the amount of HP they revive with. He reduces their HP by 30% which puts most of them into kill range if you catch them in one combo.

Great Extra Arts and Special Move

SP LL Vegeta RED’s Extra Arts is insanely good as with most AOE Green cards. It has a fast start-up animation and a fast ending animation which makes it incredibly difficult to punish. If the Extra Art lands Vegeta gets to nullify cover changes for 5 timer counts and gets 40 Ki and a 20% Damage inflicted buff.

His Special Move Arts card reduces his sub count by 5 on hit which makes it easier for him to come in and take powerful Attacks such as a Rising Rush or Special Move Arts.

Weaknesses

Slow Start

In the current meta, Fighters need to be able to have their full potential when they first enter the battlefield but SP LL Vegeta RED needs to be swapped in and out 3 times before he reaches maximum potential which is just too slow for the current meta.

Poor Defensively

SP LL Vegeta RED’s defenses aren’t very good. He has a 35% Damage reduction but it’s not noticeable in the current meta due to the high offensive capabilities most Fighters have currently. This is also an issue due to the star increase from the recent banners.

Team Synergy

Saiyans

SP LL Vegeta RED is not on the core of the Saiyan team anymore due to the influence of SP LL SSB Goku and Vegeta PUR and the current BLU Fighter heavy meta that has made it difficult for RED Fighters to shine.

Saiyan Saga

SP LL Vegeta RED is the best Fighter for the Saiyan Saga team but the team has fallen off heavily due to the power creep the Legends Festival has brought to the game.

Frieza Force

SP LL Vegeta RED is the best Fighter for the Frieza Force team but the team has fallen off heavily due to the power creep the Legends Festival has brought to the game.

Overwhelming Power Level

Reduces damage received by 30% for 3 timer counts when enemy uses a Special Move, Awakened or Ultimate Arts Card while this character is on the battlefield or on standby.

Applies the following effects to self upon landing a Strike or Blast Arts hit:

Draw a Strike Arts Card next (activates once).
Activation count resets when characters switch.
+15% to Special Move damage inflicted for 20 timer counts.

Restores own health by 20% only once when it reaches 0.
