Overview

SP Bardock YEL is a proud flag-bearer for the Saiyan Tag in the current Meta.
Bardock thrives alongside his people, and rockets into the spotlight as the Saiyan Tag’s most notable Defensive Fighter.

Bardock’s Defensive Utility and important Color for the Saiyan Tag would make him powerful enough on their own, but he possesses excellent Offensive capabilities via his Special Move Damage Buffs, Supportive potential via his Team Heal and Damage Buff on death, and Crisis utility via his Strike Damage Buff that activates when an Ally falls.

Because of his relentless versatility and ability to excel in every stage of the match, SP Bardock YEL is an excellent addition to any Team core that utilizes Saiyans. His patriotic spirit is sure to inspire his comrades.

Strengths

Saiyan Guardian

SP Bardock YEL thrives on Teams that afford him Saiyan partners. When fighting alongside a Saiyan, Bardock gains a +30% Damage Inflicted Buff and +20% Sustained Damage Cut Buff that complements his Cover Change Damage Cut.

Even from beyond the grave, Bardock Supports his Saiyan Teammates with a 20% heal and a permanent +25% Damage Buff. 

This Will Change Everything...

Bardock’s Special Move Arts Card, Final Spirit Cannon, can reach truly absurd Damage levels after Bardock’s Sustained Damage Cut activates. The +75% Damage Buff it's given makes it something to behold.

Because this deadly trump card can be drawn on command with his Main Ability, the Final Spirit Cannon is one of the defining aspects of SP Bardock YEL’s game-plan.

Weaknesses

No Shirt, No Saiyan, No Service

SP Bardock YEL fits onto powerful teams, but to fit onto Sagas Warriors he requires a Saiyan Ally to reach his full potential. This restricts some of his Team Building options and can lead to him getting edged off of certain Team cores. 

One Track Mind

The Saiyan Revenger isn’t offering any significant Buffs to his Saiyan brethren from the bench. The Strike Damage Buff he provides is appreciated but somewhat unnecessary.

Top tier Saiyan Fighters have a tendency to shirk Defenses, so the fact that Bardock’s Z-Ability doubles down on already covered areas potentially lowers an already fragile Tag’s survivability. 

Team Synergy

Saiyan

This is the Tag SP Bardock YEL belongs on. Bardock pairs incredibly well with notable top tier Saiyans like SP Angry Goku BLU and SP Super Vegito PUR, forming a perfect Color Wheel and shoring up his brethrens' defences in combat. 


Bardock can function adequately alongside other big time Saiyan Fighters. For example, he is an excellent partner for SP SSJ3 Goku GRN and SP Goku GRN, as well as SP Vegeta BLU. The latter two are especially notable Allies for the Saiyan, as all three of them also possess the Sagas From the Movies Tag, opening up additional Synergy opportunities. .

SP Bardock RED is a fantastic ally for the spurned Saiyan, as Yellow Bardock's Death Buffs serve to dramatically increase Red Bardock's already excellent Crisis Utility.

Sagas From the Movies

Bardock fits well on Sagas Warriors Teams, but his inclusion on the Team core necessitates a Saiyan fielded alongside him. It is possible to make full Saiyan builds with powerful Fighters that all possess the Sagas From the Movies tag though, so this deficiency of his isn’t as palpable as it might initially seem.

He can of course be paired with Fighters who are entirely built around Sagas From the Movies Synergy, like SP Full Power Boujack PUR and SP Hero Tapion RED, so long as the third member of any Team that includes them is also a Saiyan.

Draw a Special Move Arts Card next. Restores own Ki by 30. +40% to damage inflicted for 30 timer counts. Requirements: 15 timer counts must elapse.

Unique Ability

Foreboding Death

+40% to Strike damage inflicted when at least one ally is defeated. Applies the following effects to allied "Tag: Saiyan" when this character is defeated: Restores health by 20%. +25% to damage inflicted.

Unlikely Hero

Reduces damage received by 30% until combo ends when changing cover. +75% to Special Move damage inflicted when activated (cannot be stacked). +2 to own substitution count when activated. When this character enters the battlefield, the following effects are applied to self if a "Tag: Saiyan" other than this character is a battle member: +30% to damage inflicted for 15 timer counts. Reduces damage received by 20% for 15 timer counts.
